The Role of Progesterone
Many women are struggling with an imbalance in their hormones. It’s usually between oestrogen and progesterone.
If you have PMS, PMDD, endometriosis as well as PCOS. You have more oestrogen than progesterone.
As women get into premenopausal years you also find women are more oestrogen dominant and low in progesterone. This causes heavy bleeding and may also be why you have hot flashes and insomnia.
Progesterone is known as the pregnancy hormone because it’s this hormone that helps you get pregnant, and stay pregnant (miscarriages are usually caused by low progesterone).
Progesterone is also the calming hormone, so if you get angry, irritable and so on during your cycle: it’s low progesterone and high oestrogen.
In my recipe book: Health Empowerment I have the foods in there to raise progesterone naturally. Links below to buy my books.
