Radioactive Iodine Treatment Destroyed my Body
At the age of 18 years old, I trusted my endocrinologist and took his advice to have radioactive iodine treatment. What they don’t tell you is just how important the thyroid is for your whole endocrine system and other hormones, plus your mental health.
After I had radioactive iodine my body started to fall apart. This is what happened:
I developed chronic fatigue.
Anxiety and depression.
Insomnia.
Terrible PMS and heavy bleeding.
Lack of self-esteem and self-worth.
Brain fog.
Freezing cold all of the time, even when it’s warm and my body can’t sweat.
Poor circulation and varicose veins.
Weight gain that would not budge.
A slow metabolism.
Puffy face and skin.
Panic attacks.
Loss of third outer eyebrow.
Hair thinning and hair loss.
Binge eating on all bad foods because my body was so nutrient deficient.
