Elimination of Excess Hormones via the LIVER - Oestrogen Dominant Conditions (PMS, PMDD, Fibroids, Pre-menopause and Menopausal Symptoms, Acne and More)
The liver is one of the most important organs. It has around 500 different functions. It is the largest organ and is the organ of DETOXIFICATION.
It cleans the system of toxins, metabolises proteins, CONTROLS HORMONAL BALANCE and produces immune-boosting factors. It is a living filter.
Too many toxins in the liver and they can be stored in your fat cells to protect the body from them.
The liver receives and filters the blood from the intestines. This blood is full of nutrients but also contains bacteria, bacterial endotoxins, chemical toxins and other chemicals that the liver cleans up before they enter the body’s circulatory system. THIS FILTRATION IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY! The liver does its best to detoxify the myriad of toxins that assault our bodies daily.
When the elimination of EXCESS hormones is not working optimally, hormonal imbalances can occur, leading to health problems from PMS, endometriosis, PMDD, fibroids, acne and more.
A TOXIC LIVER is unable to break down the adrenal hormone aldosterone, which accumulates to retain sodium (and water) and suppress potassium. This can raise blood pressure and increase body weight (water retention).
Also, if the liver fails to detoxify the components of oestrogen (oestrone and oestradiol), for excretion, symptoms of oestrogen dominance arise.
Unable to carry out its activities to control blood sugar, a toxic liver can lead to hyperglycaemia (low blood sugar), which can produce rebound hunger and sugar cravings.
